- NCD are the main public health concern because they affect the economically active population.
- The Mexico Declaration emphasizes the commitment to fulfill the NCD reduction plan through social programs for the compliance of health standards.
- In an effort to meet the recommendations of the WHO Global Action Program, Mexico has established population-based plans to achieve a comprehensive health system.
- The NCD control program is a continuum in which Mexico actively focuses on reducing this burden in short and mid terms.
