Fondul iconografic din patrimoniul Muzeului de Artă Populară ”Dr. Nicolae Minovici”. Perspective istorice

The proposed theme is the nucleus of a doctoral thesis dedicated to the personality of the great scientist, Dr. Nicolae Minovici and to his collection gathered and exhibited in a monument of Neo-Romanian architecture nicknamed „the villa with bells”. The theme is justified from a double perspective: historical – studying both the biography of the commissioner, Nicolae Minovici, and analyzing this very little studied collection but without identifying the workshops, the icon craftsmen and the iconographic discourse - and a museum one, following both the conditions of conservation, evidence, and its scientific potential.
